This week is the last chance to vote for the elective positions for 2018. Ballots were distributed via email to LVR members about 3 weeks ago. So vote, and remember, you can vote for only one of the two Directors listed below.
Results will be announced at the December 3 members' breakfast and in the December 3 edition of this Newsletter.
The new LVR management team will take over on January 1, 2018. We note that setting up the calendar of LVR activities for 2018 will begin at the Dec 6 Board meeting (see the Board meeting notice below).
Other recent events attended by LVR members were the Targa Baja California rally in October and SEMA earlier this month. We have a nice photo essay from these events below. Our special thanks and acknowledgments go out to Salomon Braun for the Targa Baja pictures and Jim Sardisco for pictures from SEMA.

Now . . . . on to the Coming (or just happened) Events
October 26-29: Targa Baja.
What a great group of people ! The weather was perfect with the heat wave waning our first night at our host hotel, the Viejas Casino Resort. A bunch of us imbibed various alcoholic spirits to accompany the fine dining in the steakhouse there. Reaquainting ourselves with friends from past Targa events and making new ones. The casino saw some action with our gambling. And super LVR members and bon vivant's Salomon and Jackie Braun were there accompanied by Helga (their live-in house queen). They submitted these pictures, attesting to the great time had by all.
November 1 - 2: SEMA
Porsche was well represented at SEMA (the annual Special Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas at the beginning of this month. Among the attendees was local LVR member Jim Sardisco, who found classic and current model Porsches in abundance.
December 3 (Sunday): Members Breakfast at the Red Rock Country Club, 9:00 am
The last breakfast of the year will be on December 3. We'll be at the Red Rock Country Club. For those not attending before, the address is 2250 Red Springs Dr. This is at the western end of Sahara Ave., just west of the 215.
The fabulous buffet and omelet stations will be there for us as usual, as will the standing around, drinking coffee, and socializing.
As a special feature, the LVR Board, including the newly-elected officers, will be introduced, and each given the opportunity to make a really long speech explaining their platforms and policies.
Parking for Porsches is on the entrance circle at the Club.
The cost is still only $14, although gratuities for the servers and valet are always appreciated. (We don't actually valet our Porsches; the valets just keep the bears away from the cars while we're inside.)
For more info, contact Michael Dugan at firstname.lastname@example.org or any Board member.
December 6 (Wednesday): Board Meeting, at Gaudin Porsche, 6 pm
The last board meeting of 2017 will be held at Gaudin Porsche on Dec 6. Setting up the activities for the LVR in 2018 will begin at this meeting. Note that the first event for 2018, the After-Holiday Party, is noticed below.
All members are invited and are welcome to attend. A light dinner is served.
For more info, contact any Board member. The full Board is listed near the bottom of this Newsletter.
