The Wednesday Breakfast guys should remember the request for extra blankets made by David from the Hot Rod side of the T-Bird. If you have an old or extra blanket (or sleeping bag), bring it Wednesday.

Now . . . . on to the Coming (or just happened) Events

December 1:  This was a busy day in Los Angeles with the beginning of the LA Auto Show, the World premiere of four Porsches. and the Second Annual Radwood Celebration.
Following is a photo essay prepared from submissions from some of our world-wide staff of photographers, including Jay Healy, Salomon Braun, and F. S. Top.

Form the LA Auto Show:  Big and small vehicles, local luminaries, and Porsche Race Cars;

Stuttgart, four world premieres
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo and the 718 Boxster GTS
The 718 Cayman GTS, the flagship of the model line and the 911 Carrera T, a puristic lightweight.

From Radwood, a celebration of '80s and '90s automotive lifestyle. The car show that blends period correct dress with automotive awesomeness. A period correct event for cars, trucks, and bikes from 1980-1999 that captures the essence of a bodacious era.  And so do we:
Finally, tennis star and Porsche Brand Ambassador, Maria Sharapova adds beauty and poise to the 718 Cayman

The Los Angeles Auto Show runs through December 10, 2017.  So, pack your bags and head south on the 15 to LA for some awesome cars from all manufacturers worldwide.  You won't be disappointed.
December 3 (Sunday): Members Breakfast at the Red Rock Country Club, 9:00 am

The last Members' Breakfast of the year was this morning.  As a special feature, the LVR Board, including some of the newly-elected officers, were introduced, and each made a really long speech explaining their platforms and policies.

From your reporter's point of view, the nicest part of the morning was that, after the announcements and the speeches, most everyone sat around chatting for at least another half-hour. Very, very pleasant.

We also had a visitor, Flavio Laucota, from the Porsche Club of Melbourne. Melbourne is in another country, apparently quite some distance from Las Vegas. We enjoyed his company.

                                                                                                  John Tuttle, staff reporter

The next Members' Breakfast will be on January 7, next year.
December 6 (Wednesday): Board Meeting, at Gaudin Porsche, 6 pm

The last board meeting of 2017 will be held at Gaudin Porsche on Dec 6. Setting up the activities for the LVR in 2018 will begin at this meeting. Note that the first event for 2018, the After-Holiday Party, is noticed below. Other events are already being discussed for scheduling. One event to be offered is where we all go to some location and they lock us up in rooms from which we try to escape (maybe we're not entirely clear on what's involved here). More details later, we hope.

All members are invited and are welcome to attend. A light dinner is served.

For more info, contact any Board member. The full Board is listed near the bottom of this Newsletter.
December 9 (Sat):  Cars and Coffee at SpeedVegas will host a "Toys for Joy" Cruise to benefit the Sunrise Children's Hospital

We are officially into the holiday season and the time for remembering on all we have to be thankful for.  Tis the season for sharing, giving, and donating to bring some of the joy of the holiday season to those less fortunate than us.

Join your fellow auto enthusiast at Cars and Coffee on Saturday morning between 7:00 and 10:00 am at SpeedVegas (just south of the M Casino at 14200 S. Las Vegas Blvd, 89054).  See below for details.
