Editor's Thoughts:
The events calendar for 2018 is beginning to take shape. Dates for the 2018 DEs have been confirmed and are shown in the yellow calendar above. A couple of the dates are still tentative, as final arrangements with the venues are still in progress. So pay attention as the calendar develops.

We're always looking for good articles and nice pictures of your adventures with your Porsches. If you contribute to your Newsletter, you'll get author/photo credit as well as 50% of the salary we pay to the senior staff.

Finally, Christmas Eve and New Years' Eve are the next two Sundays.  Thus, your editors will be taking advantage of the holiday clause in our union contract and will NOT be publishing a newsletter on December 24th or 31st.  So you do not have to put on your slippers and head outside into the snow to look around your front door or in the bushes for your Sunday newsletter the next two weeks.
Notices from the Board:

How about some of you newer members start the year off with a Las Vegas Region name badge. They're available as described at the bottom of this Newsletter.

Now . . . . on to the Coming (or just happened) Events
Jan 7 (Sun): Members' Breakfast at the Red Rock Country Club; 9 am.

The first breakfast of the new year.

As usual, there will be the fabulous buffet and made-to-order omelet stations for us.
As not usual, the price has skyrocketed to $15 pp. (Well worth it in cinnamon buns alone.)

Parking for Porsches around the circle at the Club entrance.

Come and socialize. There's all the coffee and orange juice you can drink, and the food is terrific.

Feb 11 (Sun): Members' Breakfast at the Red Rock Country Club, 9 am

The breakfast will be just as good as they always are.

Following breakfast, there will be an escape adventure. It will be held at ESCAPEability at 3100 S.  Durango.

We're at a bit of a loss to explain just what exactly this is, but from what we can deduce it should be a real hoot.

Eventmasters Scott and Gwen Pearce point us to the web site www.escapeabilitylv.com for information.

July 20 -29: Glacier Park Tour; The LVR summer Multi-day driving trip.

The first hotel check-in is booked for July 22 in the area of the park. It will probably take two days to get there so you might plan on leaving LV on July 20. The last hotel date booked is July 28.

This will be a trip with members of the Golden Gate Region, just as the Vancouver drive was last summer.

More info to come as details are developed.
