We're now one-sixth of the way into 2018, and the LVR calendar is pretty well filled out. With the first DE of the year under our belts, just the next three months offer a wealth of activities.
3 Members' breakfasts (at the Red Rock Country Club)
3 Third Thursday Socials, (only two confirmed so far);
3 driving events (to Death Valley, to Utah, and the Gamblers gimmick rally);
1 multi-day drive (the Treffen to New Mexico);
1 eating event (the progressive garage tour)
And.... Another DE at Spring Mountain.
We hope that a lot of you faithful readers will take advantage and enjoy at least some of these.
And we'll continue to try to provide coverage of these from our huge staff of highly-paid reporters and photographers.
Notices from the Board:
Our Las Vegas Region Secretary, Joan Kramer, is ill and will be in the shop for a while. In the meantime, members of the Board will fill in temporarily until the repairs are completed. If you'd like to drop her a card, the address is St. Joseph's Hospital, 350 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85013. We're sure she would appreciate it.

Now . . . . on to the Coming (or just happened) Events
March 3-4 (this weekend): First DE event at Spring Mountain Motor Resort.
The weather was cool which made for excellent running and a little more HP. The winds were gusty but did not dampen the spirits of the participants. We had 16 first timers attend the Drivers' Training School and another 91 track enthusiasts from the LVR and other clubs enjoy ample time on the track.
Thanks to Tamela Kahle and Reid Smith the pictures from Saturday. The whole thing was repeated on Sunday with little or no wind, so the track was stickier and a whole lot of fun.

Time: Driver's meeting at 08:30am, Departure at 09:00am
Meeting Location and Starting Point: Terrible Herbst Convenience Store, 12325 Blue Diamond Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89124
