The World of Porsche Brunches Las Vegas Style

On Sunday September 9 LVR met for another good brunch at Red Rock Country Club. The day started out beautifully with temps in the 70’s, clear and sunny. Upon arriving at Red Rock you were confronted with a blaze of color- Porsches of all hues and models- a truly gorgeous sight.

After chatting, noshing on a really good brunch including someone’s favorite cinnamon rolls, and chatting some more, President Reid Smith presented a review of upcoming events for the club including a day drive, a cocktail-optional social, special event with presentation by a noted race driver and other events (as covered in detail on our website www.lasvegasporscheclub.com and in our newsletter Desert Drives).

 Michael Dugan introduced our speaker, David Soyk. For those few who don’t know, David is salesman extraordinaire for Gaudin Porsche. He shared his love of Porsches and the considerations you should have in buying an exceptional automobile. He discussed the consideration of purchasing a certified Porsche as a way to more easily afford a great car.

The club will have its next brunch on November 13^th at Red Rock. Our guest speaker will be Steve Glenn, proprietor of Dent Guys here in Las Vegas. He will be sharing his history and expertise in auto body repair. Instead of banging metal, filling dents and spraying paint to fix that damned dent, he will share how many dents (more severe that you can imagine) can be repaired without the filler and re-paint. It may be just the repair for that dent your darling Porsche just received in the grocery store parking lot or the fender bender caused by that inattentive driver

To register, go to MSReg.com/November-brunch. The cost will be $20 per person. Registration will close at 4pm on Thursday November 6^th, the Thursday before the brunch. If you do not register on line, you may show up on Sunday but the cost will be $30 per person, payable in cash if seating is available. Once registered, there will be no refund.
