Like many others in the LVRPCA we are a Porsche family. We haven’t always been.
Driving clunkers and minivans were our mainstay until around our 30th wedding anniversary when the Boxster S came into our life in 2011. We loved taking the car on wine tasting trips and managed to hold 4 cases of wine and luggage in both trunks. This immediately was a hit!
Auto crossing the Boxster became a key pastime chewing through tires and burning out the clutch. But learning what these cars can do creates a passion for Porsches.
We were so happy when our second daughter got married, and we could give them the Lexus as a gift. Now we could finally get another Porsche. The Panamera S is much more civilized for touring but can still kill it in the twisties when it’s time to play. Can’t do much of that though so it’s mostly a grocery getter with room for Buddy (our dog) in the back.
Now that the Boxster is considered a ‘Classic Rod’ in Nevada it’s time to let it rest a little bit and find an excuse to get another Porsche.
