Wow! What a Porsche day in Southern Utah! We had a great showing for the Show and Shine and Porsche Car Show…so many attendees…several hundred if you count all the shoppers at the Tuacahn Market on Saturday, April 22nd. Such great exposure for PCA and Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas.
I can’t say enough about the whole Gaudin team that came to Tuacahn! Wow! so much fun, so hard working and so professional. They impressed everyone. They answered so many owner questions…and Steve has convinced me I NEED an air-cooled! Also, the prizes were so generous and so appreciated by all of our winners!
There were so many great stories today…but here is just one. A couple, Ken and Betty Hollman, moved to St. George from Reno where they had been active with the Sierra Nevada PCA region for years…both serving as President. They sold their Porsches prior to moving to Utah thinking there was no Porsche community here. I met Ken and Betty a few weeks ago and told them how active the Porsche community was here and I invited them to our monthly Porsche Owner Breakfast. They had a GREAT time and were so sorry they no longer owned a Porsche. During the meeting they heard a number of “Porsche stories”…like Irma who told of driving to Las Vegas looking for a Boxster and happily came home with a new one. After the breakfast meeting…Ken and Betty drove down to Las Vegas and bought a 991 Porsche. They emailed me last night and asked if it was too late to enter their “new” Porsche in the car show. They were one of the first cars in line this morning…in their new Porsche.
We also had a Reserved VIP parking space “reserved” for Gary Lea (Las Vegas Region) until he can return to our events (recovering from surgery). He always led a large LV contingent to our events. I’m sorry that Reid wasn’t able to join us as usual but he was wrangling yet another PCA event today…so many Porsche events! They were both missed.
