Long time member and Past President of LVRPCA Ed Pasini passed away on Oct 5 of this year just 6 weeks before his 91st birthday. He is survived by his sister, Janet, son Barry and his wife Katy.

Born and raised in the Los Angeles, he graduated from USC with a degree in Accounting and upon retirement in 1997 wisely relocated to Las Vegas.
Ed was very definitely a “CAR GUY”. His career focused on auto dealerships. The renowned Longo Toyota dealership was a customer. When Mr. Longo passed away his family wanted to sell the business. Ed was part to the team that sold it to Roger Penske. Longo Toyota was the first dealership in the Penske Auto Group. His personality was such that he made friends easily. Dominic Longo, Roger Penske and his son Greg all stayed in touch with Ed.
He was a rabid fan of his beloved USC Trojans and became the Tax Man for 2 USC head football coaches, John McKay and John Robinson. He also loved SCUBA diving and had hundreds of dives in the Caribbean and South Pacific.
He served as a member of the prestigious Rose Parade Committee for number of years. At one point hosting the Grand Marshal, actor Jimmy Stewart and wife. He maintained his Rose Bowl tickets for years.

Ed, the “CAR GUY” owned more than a dozen Porsches, and a supercharged Toyota Supra among others. He established and ran the No Frills Iron Bottom Motoring Tour, a 3 day, 1000 mile journey through some of the most twisty roads in Southern CA. He knew where all of the twisty roads from San Diego to San Francisco were. He also was part of the team that developed the 24 Hours of Lemons, a poor man’s 24 hour race.
Ed was very gregarious, with a great sense of humor, sharp wits, great story teller who loved trivia and a great friend to many people.
Ed, all of us with you RIP.
