ATTENTION ALL PORSCHEAPHILE ROAD WARRIORS!!!!

I am planning on attending the Annual Porsche Werk’s Reunion. If you have never been you really need to consider going on this tour. August 14, 15, 16-2024. I will be glad to coordinate an unofficial tour to the event. If you are interested you can contact me at leagary71@gmail.com to let me know your interest.

The Werk’s Reunion is only slightly smaller than the Rennsport reunion in the number of cars. It lacks the racing half but sans that it is well worth doing! There are usually well over 500 cars there if not more and just about every kind of Porsche is there. From original high mileage Porsches (like mine) to brand new cars. There is a concours event, every vintage of Porsche most of them in fabulous condition and many other things going on including music, food, beverages, souvenir sales and just a robust good time. Below are some picture to entice you.

The plan would be to leave two days prior to the first Day to leave Las Vegas at 6;30 in the AM to beat some heat, drive to Pismo Beach for the first day. Looking at the best way to include the Angeles Crest Hiway on the way. The second day will be north to Cambria on the US1 PCH. There we have to go inland the rest of the way to Monterey due the PCH1 one being closed north of Cambria (unfortunately for the next two years due to multiple slides). The third Day will be the actual Werk’s Reunion which we would attend en mass.

After that you may want to stick around for the rest of Monterey Car week. If you have never been, well, its hard to describe but equally worth hitting.

One thing I would recommend is that if you are interested in attending you need to make your hotel arrangements now. It fills up fast. I delayed a bit and have to stay in Seaside about 28 miles north of Monterey where I had to stay three years ago. It is a straight shot down from there or Gilroy usually has accommodations not to mention a lot of B&Bs. Again if you want to go make arrangements now.
