In 2014, I finally decided on a 987 Boxster RS60 Spyder (6 speed manual) as my 1st Porsche. I have had it to countless HPDE events, and it’s been an absolutely wonderful car, and I still have it! Then I bought a 997 C2S convertible (6 speed manual) and a 986 Boxster (5 speed manual) for my wife Linzy. She’s had her Boxster at an HPDE event as well.

We sold the 911 & Linzy’s Boxster to make room for an Audi R8 (6 speed manual), but I don’t think I’ll ever sell the RS60. It is so much fun, 100% reliable, and with a frunk AND trunk it actually carries a lot of groceries! I changed to a later style Boxster S wheel, and I modified the sport exhaust, so it is always “on” – it used to shut off in the middle range, to satisfy European noise requirements. Now it sings to redline! Once the black top wore out, Linzy’s dad (an upholsterer) and I changed to the original RS60 Bordeaux cloth top to match the lipstick red interior. (the black top was a no-cost option from Porsche). I installed a Bluetooth/SiriusXM head unit as the only other modification.

In 1995 I inherited a 1984 Rabbit, which lead to a string of Rabbit GTis, Cabriolets, a Golf GTi, Corrado (which we still have), and a pair of Jetta TDis. With Linzy, we acquired the R8 and an Audi SQ5 for her as a daily driver. Linzy’s first car was a green Saturn “SC” Sport Coupe with a manual transmission, and then a Pontiac Sunfire a year later. It’s REALLY hard to pick a favorite car, since we’ve had so many, but the VW Corrado has been with me for over 21 years, and it holds a special place in my heart! Linzy LOVES her 2014 Supercharged V6 Audi SQ5 because it has 354 hp and is faster than most of my cars!

In June 2014 after buying the RS60, I immediately joined the PCA. That fall I caught the HPDE bug, and those track days are by far the most fun I have behind the wheel of a car. Linzy & I enjoy volunteering at the new member picnics, as well as getting dressed up for the post-holiday party in January!

Andy went to school in PA, graduated from Lycoming College (computer science) and got started in property management while in college. He and Linzy have owned Raintree Real Estate brokerage for the last 8+ years, and he has been buying, selling and renting property in Las Vegas and Brian Head, Utah for over 14 years. Linzy trained as a veterinary technician, and currently works with animals at Tractor Supply in Centennial Hills.
Andy: I grew up in central PA (Harrisburg/Hershey), not too far from the Westmoreland, PA Volkswagen factory, so there were LOTS of VWs in that area. That lead to an addiction to VW, Audi and Porsche cars. Then I moved to Vegas in 2006 with my late wife Briar, and have been here ever since! Linzy was born near Cape Canaveral, grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and moved to Vegas in 2007. She and Andy met in 2015 and married in 2016.
Linzy & I have about 100 animals, including 7-8 Turkeys, 5-6 quail, 80-90 chickens, a pheasant, 2 desert tortoises, and 2 dogs. We live on what we consider to be a small farm (1 acre) in Centennial Hills. But we also have three 3-car garages spread out over 2 adjacent parcels, including a lift! So, we can usually be found in a chicken coop or garage.
Due to our regular volunteer work with Canyon Ridge Christian Church, civic groups, and other local charities, we were honored as Las Vegas Citizens of the Month for January 2024. January 5, 2024 was officially Andy & Linzy Stahl day in the city of Las Vegas! We lead a yearly trip to Tijuana to build houses for poor families, and love our town!
