As your zone 8 representative I was excited to share my journey with cars.
My love of sports cars started when I was in elementary school and my brother drove me in his TR4 from our home in Pennsylvania to Watkins Glen for the 9th U. S. Grand Prix race. Since then, I have always been fascinated and interested in all types of cars. Porsche came into my life in 2013 when I decided that it was time that I owned a convertible. A good friend of mine found this “perfect red convertible” and after driving it in Newport Beach on a sunny summer day, the rest is history.
Not knowing much about car clubs, or, for that matter, the Boxster that I just purchased, I joined PCA in 2013. At my first breakfast meeting, I was warmly welcomed and thought, what could it hurt to go to the board meeting. In my first year with Cal-Inland region, I became the social chair and was awarded Rookie of the year. Ironically, when the current Zone Rep came to our Christmas Party that year, I told him, that I wanted his job! Little did I know that someday that would be a reality.
Before being appointed as Zone Rep, I was Vice-President, Membership Chair, and President of our region. I have also served as the Zone 8 Secretary and held many positions for our Festival of Speed, starting with greeter, media coordinator, racing awards chair, radio person for the pace car, credentials, and club race registrar.
Outside of the car world, I have a variety of interests, with a passion for travel. I have been to 43 of the United States and several foreign destinations, including eastern and western Europe, Egypt and East Africa. I am a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Indiana University and the University of LaVerne. I have maintained a law practice in Sherman Oaks for 32 years.
I have truly enjoyed being the Zone 8 representative, meeting more of our members and enjoying the various events of the Zone. I have said for the past 3 years, that it is the best job that I have had in PCA. It is, truly, not the cars but the people.
