Join us Saturday, May 10th at the Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum at the Saint George Airport at 10AM followed by a pay as you go lunch at the eclectic Side Car Café less than 10 minutes from the museum.

This amazing museum features some of the first jet fighters and trainers to enter service during the Korean and subsequent Cold War, including US and Soviet models, some of which are still flown here regularly. You’ll walk around static display aircraft including a four engine Douglas C-54 Skymaster, a veteran of the Berlin Airlift in 1948 and 1949, where it also acted as a ‘candy bomber’, a practice started by a Utahan. Head up inside the C-54 to see how it completed its long career at Buffalo Airways and be amazed by the antique cockpit. We’ll get a docent lead tour of the museum, and an opportunity to examine the impressive collection of military flying memorabilia.
We have an LVR member whose son is an Air Force F-22 pilot. He’ll be there with us to enjoy the museum and talk to us about his experiences in that 5th generation stealth fighter, answer questions, and relate a story or two about missions in the jet, unclassified of course!
After time at the museum, we’ll all transition to the Side Car Café for lunch and socializing.
The museum is supported by the donations of its visitors, so come enjoy what we are so privileged to have in our backyard and be generous with your donation to support this steward of a very special period in aviation history.
Please RSVP to Bill Corrigan at: corrigb@isomedia.com as he will need a head count for the cafe.
