Another month down as May has left us in the rear view mirror. Unfortunately for many who do not particularly enjoy the heat Summer is arriving and as I write this the forecast is for a smooth 100 degrees. Get ready for it. I am a cold weather person and the scorching heat of the summer does not match my biological makeup. That being said for those who enjoy it get the most out of it by joining us for many of the coming summer events.
Werks Reunion:
We are three months away from the annual Werks Reunion in Monterey California. Check out the story on the event in this months Drives.
Brunch:
We had to cancel the May Brunch but we are back on for June. You. May already have seen the blast so please sign up and join us. It is a great way to meet people and share the camaraderie that is such a vital part of the the Club and its purpose. I always enjoy meeting new people and learning how they found their way to us.
Club Media:
LVRPCA media plan and focus continues to evolve. We continue to focus on expanding our offerings, reaching out in more meaningful and impactful ways. We continue to explore new and different ways to pull broader audiences and most specifically the younger enthusiasts. the Tivoli event gave us some insight as a large number of our younger people came and it was great to see. They are the future of the club and we really need their involvement and ideas. If any of our younger members are reading this please let us know how the club can better serve you and make the club more appealing. Some things turn slowly and the evolution of club is subject to the effects of a slower development than I would like to see but we will continue to push the outreach To the younger crowd. I am only old in years. I am still an 18 year old at heart. If you have thoughts and idea to aid this objective please send them to LVRPCA2025@gmail.co.
Desert Drives Contributions:
Last month we had some great contributions for the Desert Drives from a number of people to whom I am grateful. We are really focusing on ramping up the quality of our newsletter and the work will continue. We have such a wealth of collective knowledge and history and it is great to see people sharing that knowledge with fellow members. If you have a story to tell Desert Drives is a great place to share it.
Volunteering:
Yes again! As always a final I ask that you please consider helping by volunteering for some of our committees as there is always room for more people to help and drive new ideas and events. We need our members to be involved and to experience all that the club has to offer and no better way to do it than to get involved with one of our events helping out. It takes a Village!
