Greetings to all our wonderful members.
June flew by, like most months do when you reach my age. That being said, a lot of great things took place.
We continue to host Mix and Mingles every month. Do not miss a chance to attend. Now that I am through with crazy travel for my business, I will be attending as many as I can. They are a great way to meet other members and members of the Board of Directors to share your ideas directly and to ask the many questions about what the board does, how we go about making decisions, and any other club questions you may have. We change up the locations each and every month to provide an opportunity for people all across the valley and to make it more accessible to all. I look forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming events.
There were awesome drives and wonderful get-togethers with Southern Utah folks. Never ever forget our Cars und Kaffee events every last Sunday of the month.
Speaking of Cars und Kaffee, the past two months were heavily attended despite the early heat. They are growing every month over the previous year, and there is a lot to see and learn, not to mention all the uber-friendly people who turn out. It is definitely more than just viewing great vehicles. It is about meeting all the great people in the PCA family and our varied guests who bring other cars. You will not regret attending. Of course, June, July, and August thin out because of the heat, but drop by at 7:00 in the morning before the heat gets too intense. I endeavor to be at every event, so look for me. I love meeting people who come from other groups, our new members, and seeing all my friends from the club. I think you will feel the same way.
We continue to expand our outreach every month to new members, especially the younger crowd, who are the future of the club. Despite what some may think it isn’t just for the geriatric crowd! I can say that because I am turning 71 very soon but I am still a kid at heart. We have the help of a couple younger members who are visiting other events to recruit and monitoring and posting content to our Facebook and Instagram pages. Look for changes and new more frequent content coming soon.
This is the time of year when things in the club slow down. That is just a function of the heat in Las Vegas getting into what I call the 100 and Stupid range. That doesn’t mean things grind to a halt. Quite the contrary. Keep an eye out for the
Some upcoming events:
Mix and Mingle
Aviators Game in August – VIP Suite
I am going to try to organize a drive to Monterey for the Annual Works Reunion at Monterey Car Week. (I have written about that event in previous editions, and what a “must Attend” event it all is.)
Cars und Kaffee
Monthly Drives
I hope you are all having a great summer and enjoying family and friends with cookouts, pool parties, and travel.
Stay tuned and bless all of you and your families!!!!
