Another Autofest has concluded, and it was an absolute triumph. We once again secured the coveted Top Marque spot at the show, showcasing over 85 cars. While we fell short of our ambitious goal of 100 cars, our performance was undoubtedly outstanding. The closest competitor was the Corvette Club, with a remarkable 21 cars. But let’s be honest, they were no match for us.

This year, we celebrated our second annual show and shine, with 11 cars vying for the coveted prizes. The judging criteria were tough, with a mix of brand-new and well-worn, yet fabulous vehicles. We introduced “The Story Behind Your Car” as a unique judging criterion, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the event. The best story, hands down, was that of an owner who was stopped by the police during his test drive. He didn’t even own the car yet and was pulled over for speeding because the officer thought it sounded like he was speeding! What a fantastic tale!
We presented first, second, and third-place trophies, along with some fantastic giveaways provided by Porsche National. The first-place winner Dan Crochet not only received a substantial trophy but also a Griot’s Detail Bag, a clay bar pad, and a wheel mitt. The second-place winner Mike Musnug was delighted with a Griot’s paint light (which I must now add to my own collection), along with a trophy. The third-place winner Brent Holmes received a clay bar pad, a wheel mitt, and a 70th Anniversary Commemorative booklet to compliment his trophy, which may have been the best prize of all. The reason being, these commemorative booklets are no longer available, as PCA printed them in a limited number.

The turnout at the tent was fantastic, with many participants taking home Membership sign-up forms. A few even managed to sign up while they were there. We also set up a second tent that offered shade to many of or visitors throughout the day.
Many other cars were on display, attracting the attention of spectators of all ages. Among them was the actual F1 Film Car that Brad Pitt drove in the movie. Unlike the fiberglass show cars with no real parts, this was the real movie car, exactly as it appeared in the film. It even had its engine, gearbox, and race steering wheel, which was quite a feat. Die-hard F1 fans like me were in awe. Not only that but there was also a Jet Dragster and a Vintage flip top funny car. Two of my favorite non sports car displays.
The regular crowd of exotic Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, and other cars was complemented by a unique and stunning three-seat Vera GT. Its center seating and beautiful lines made it a standout.
We also gave away a variety of 70th Anniversary stickers, window clings, lapel pins, fruits snacks, and trail mix. It was a fun event for everyone involved.

One member, who wished to remain anonymous, couldn’t bring his 997.2 Carrera Cabriolet. Instead, he precariously parked his SUV on a steep hillside right behind the Trophy Performance group’s cars, causing anxiety throughout the day. Despite this, no cars were damaged and no one was hurt.
Suffice it to say there was something for everyone. And everywhere you looked that was another eye catching, lust inducing car to be admired.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara Barron, Lynda Colucci, Mark Coronado, Reid Smith, Cynthia and Tony Afronti, Donna and George Shedlarski, Craig and Di Shanklin, and Richard Burns, as well as many other individuals who visited us and spent time with us.

If you have never attended Autofest you should. It is a great event and we always have a great time each year with a large turnout of awesome Porsche people and their cars. We would love to have you join us next year so make sure to mark in your Calendar Autofest 2026, September TBD!
