FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK – OCTOBER 2025

Greetings to all you wonderful Porsche People!

Welcome to October! This usually means a drop in temperatures that we’ll all be delighted about.

September was an incredible month for us. We had many great things happen and some wonderful success stories.

First of all, our September HPDE set a new record for a late summer event. Despite the temperatures being in the 90s, we had 101 cars and drivers attend. By all accounts, it was a very well-received event, and people had nothing but positive praise for their experience. One person even wrote to PCA National to praise the event—haven’t heard of that in a while!

We must give a special shoutout to all the volunteers, but a special mention goes to Brad Cameron, who is the new CoChair, along with Brian Schmidt, who stepped in to run the show while many were on vacation or busy with other things. He did an amazing job, considering this was his first HPDE to run on his own. Many notable people helped out. Check out the report in this issue to see who all made the event such a success.

Another great event was the Autofest 2025/PCA 70th Anniversary Celebration. We had over 80 cars attend (all paid $40 just to show club pride and help us be the largest single marque showing for the third straight year). We outpaced most every other make of car by 2-300%, which is not a small feat. Our members take great pride in showing up in force to these events, and I am grateful to everyone who showed up. We fell a bit short of our 1200 car goal, but we had enough to trounce the competition! Our Show and Shine was a great success, and we learned a lot again this year how to make it even better next year. We gave away a ton of Porsche Club North America 70th Anniversary pins, decals, and window clings, and we even signed up a few new members! Thanks to all who volunteered and came out to help. See the attendant story on that.

We’re thrilled to share that our club continues to grow each month, and we’re incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made as an organization. We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our offerings to our members, and we value your feedback.

We’re excited to announce our first Volunteer Day with The Just One project. It’s tentatively scheduled for October 14th from 8 am to 11 am. We’ll be helping with the Community Market Distribution, which will involve unloading pallets of food and placing them in clients’ vehicles in a drive-through style. We’ll send out more information about the event in a separate event-specific blast.

We’re still in need of volunteers and a Webmaster to help us manage our website and social media. If you’re interested in helping us take the club to the next level, please let us know.
