A Night to Remember: Winter Gala & Silent Auction Success

The Porsche Club Winter Gala was an outstanding evening of camaraderie, generosity, and unforgettable moments—and thanks to our incredible members, local business partners, and supporters, it was a tremendous success on every level.

Guests enjoyed excellent cuisine from Red Rock Country Club, which set the tone for a warm and elegant evening. Adding to the ambiance were several stunning member-owned Porsches generously “loaned” for display, turning the venue into a gallery worthy of the marque we all love.

Our Silent Auction was made possible by the many club members and local businesses who donated thoughtful and unique items, as well as the enthusiastic bidders who helped drive the final totals. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who bid and won items—your generosity directly supports our charitable mission.

A special moment of the evening was the recognition of past president Reid Smith and his wife, Dana, whose dedication and leadership have helped shape our club over many years. The club extends its sincere gratitude to Reid and Dana for their countless contributions, unwavering support, and enduring commitment to the Porsche Club community.

Special recognition also goes to the volunteers who helped with setup and tear-down, whose behind-the-scenes efforts ensured the event ran smoothly from start to finish. And of course, the evening was made even sweeter with delightful treats from Jean-Marie Auboine Chocolatier, which were a true crowd favorite.

While the Silent Auction was impressive on its own, the most entertaining—and unexpected—highlight of the night was the live auction of two Croshaw’s Gourmet Pies from Saint George, Utah. This lively moment alone added over $500 to our fundraising total and brought plenty of laughter and excitement to the room.

Thanks to the collective generosity of our members and guests, the Gala and Auction raised over $6,240($200 donated directly to Retriever Rescue) in support of our two local charities. Therefore, Retriever Rescue will receive $3220, and the GI Foundation will receive $3020

  • Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas – A100% volunteer based nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and neglected retrievers as well as all other breeds. Making a difference one dog at a time and being the voice for the voiceless.
  • Xtreme Couture GI Foundation – A local foundation committed to supporting wounded service members, veterans, and their families by providing resources, and financial support to help them with emergent funding needs, mental transition consultation physical and mental programs as well as Troop Morale visits by founder Randy Couture.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, displayed cars, and participated. Your support made this event not only successful, but truly memorable.
