Hi, my name is Harris Schwartz, and I am a new member of the LV Porsche Club, but certainly not new to Porsche. I think I am on my 4^th Porsche now, and currently driving a special “edition” spec car – 2023 911 Carrera S with some special equipment you would never find on any non-GT car. My car operates and drives and performs as a GT car. It is my all time favorite. Of course, if you asked my husband (Dat), he loves it too, but he loves his GT2 RS even better. I fell in love with Porsche once my husband bought his original.

My first ever car was a 1974 Plymouth Duster in Fire Engine Red. It was a great, solid car for that time. The only other vehicle that I really enjoyed was a Toyota Tundra in Forest Green color. 

I joined PCA in 2022 officially. I have been enjoying the Sunday brunches and meeting the members. I look forward to volunteering for events as well. I like and want to participate on drives. The drives activity reminds me fondly of my Dad, when he was in a Roadster Club back in the 70’s, and he used to take me on their “runs”. My dad was into restoring antique cars and driving them. 

Interesting fact, my private sector career began at the birth of the public internet. I was one of the first information security directors in the industry at the time within Internet service providers. I collaborated with others to help shape internet security, safety, privacy, and risk to what it is today. Over the last 30 years, I have worked in all facets of security, including cyber, physical and information security. I have worked in industry and through various consulting companies.

I also have extensive experience in investigations; civil, criminal and other areas. My husband pushed me to write a book, which I did publish in 2019 – “Operation Espionage – The Spy Within”; a book of various investigations involving insider threat caused by employees, criminals, nation-state and state-sponsored bad actors, and the like. 

I have lived in Pennsylvania (born Philadelphia), Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Reston, VA, Denver, CO, San Francisco and now Las Vegas. My husband and I enjoy traveling for pleasure, usually on a river cruise or a land trip. I do all the planning, and he just follows. I have traveled to over 96 countries, most of the time for work, as well.
