If you missed this year’s tour, mark your calendars for September 2026 and set a reminder to watch for it so you don’t miss it next year.

We all met up in Hurricane, Utah (pronounced “Her uh Kahn”) on a brisk and sunny Saturday morning at the end of September.
Paula and I joined 21 other Porsche Club cars from Utah and Las Vegas and headed east on the road towards Colorado City, then north to Duck Creek, and finally ended in Cedar City. The drive was fantastic, with plenty of stunning scenery. The highlight was the vibrant fall foliage in shades of yellow, blazing orange, and even a few spots of red! With the exception of a couple of very slow miles, thanks to a fresh oil and gravel spread that had just been completed a couple of days before the drive, the roads were excellent.

We were given detailed maps and a sheet of landmarks to identify along the way. Paula and I got all but one correct, which was NOT enough to win the contest. It was still a lot of fun, as many of the hidden gems weren’t easy to spot. One in particular required a lot of imagination to find.
We ended up at Steve Molinari’s house for a fully catered BBQ. It was simply the best! Thanks Steve for hosting that!

Thanks to Kenn and Betty Hollman for organizing and taking care of the drive, including the “Spot the Landmark” game.

The drive was 188 miles, and it was spectacular! Check out the pictures and seriously consider doing this drive next year.
