From the President’s Desk,
I am excited about AUTOFEST which takes place September 17th. Wouldn’t it be awesome if our club had 100 Porsches gleaming in the sunshine on the Red Rock Country Club fairway! With 910 Las Vegas Region PCA members, we can do it! We will have our own hospitality tent and will promoting our club for potential new members. This car show will feature over 500 cars of many marques, motorcycles and ATV’s on the grass. When you register, use PROMO CODE pcaaf for a 20% club discount on any package.
Our HPDE track weekend will take place September 24-25th at the Spring Mountain Motorsports race track. Because we are training instructors that weekend, we will not be offering the beginning ground school that weekend. If you would rather tour that weekend, please check out the information and signup on the Torrey Fall Color Tour. This event is being organized by the Intermountain Region PCA. We wish to thank our neighbors to the north for inviting us to join them.
Salomon Braun, our Tour Meister, is planning a club drive to Chino CA, for Cars in the Canyon at Yank’s Air Museum October 7-9th. It should be a fun drive. Salomon will be providing more information via our PCA enews notifications.We have a need for members to help plan Tours! If you have a good idea for a multi-night tour let us know. We have all the resources to help you organize your event. Many of our overnight tours are “bare bones” events, meaning we have suggested lodging and restaurants and it is up to each party to make their own travel arrangements. Our club is entirely fueled by volunteers which means we need club members to plan and carry out activities. These events need to be organized at least 2-3 months in advance so be thinking of ideas for later this year and the first half of 2023.
