From the President’s Desk,

It is so nice to have the extreme heat behind us. I find myself more eager to tinker with the cars and get caught up on yard maintenance. The Boxster with the top down has been my ride of choice lately. I consider a short drive with the wind in my hair as good therapy.

We had a very enjoyable brunch last month. We had a good turnout because of our A-lister guest speaker, Phil Reese. He promised us a 5-hour speech, but short-changed us after about 25 minutes. We were captivated with the presentation of great stories of his years of experience with Porsches. Also, he shared stories of his many years with drag racing in California. After taking care of all of the autograph seekers, we were all free to go home to watch the opening week of NFL.

A highlight of September was AUTOFEST. The show was massive with over 500 entries. We came really close to meeting our goal with 100 Porsches displayed on the fairways of Red Rock Country Club! For us who displayed cars it made for a long day, but it gave us a chance to catch up with friends and meet new members. A special thanks to LVR/PCA member Chef William Pferching for organizing the biggest and best car show in Las Vegas!
