AZPCA – IRPCA – LVRPCA BLAST!

We were the host of a multi-Region drive to the Valley of Fire State Park that included members of Arizona, Southern Utah and Las Vegas Regions on March 21St. Our plans for the drive changed rapidly on that Tuesday morning as the rainy forecast caused great concern. I had planned to be at the meetup location at 7:00am to get everything organized by the 8:00am call time. Leaving home at 6:15am, Dana and I were not aware of three major accidents on the 215 Beltway. After sitting in traffic for a couple of hours, we finally arrived at 8:35am! Luckily, we had an excellent team of club volunteers who had everything organized with cars lined up, so were able to get the paperwork done and started moving at 8:45am. A special thanks to our team for all they did!

A total of 61 cars had signed up, but only half that number actually arrived, most likely due to the stormy weather forecast. Guess what? The rain stopped and we had a wonderful drive. I was so surprised at how the colors popped out after a good rain on a cloudy day. It was awesome. Most of us were content with just driving the Valley of Fire roads without attempting any short hikes.

On the previous day, Gaudin Porsche invited the leadership of each club to share the Gaudin Experience and family story with a nice reception afterwards. A special thanks to Paul Jarrett and Julie Cane for the impressive presentation.
