There were so many high points with our club’s activities during 2023 that I don’t know where to begin. So, I won’t! But I will say that it has been a joy to meet so many members having a great time at our many events. Our Board and volunteers made it happen! I’m not a pessimist, but sometimes I remember the challenging times. The event that created anxiety for me was our Tri-Region drive to the Valley of Fire that we hosted last March. We had everything planned to a “T”. Dana and I left home plenty early with the waivers, drive directions, $500+ worth of NPS and NVSP passes, and traffic cones to help line up dozens of cars from Arizona, Utah and Nevada at our meetup location. We live in the northwest area of town and it was raining. Little did we know it would take nearly 2 ½ hour to get there. The 215 had turned into a parking lot with three major wrecks! When we got there our volunteers had everything under control, everybody lined up and ready. They got the waivers signed and entrance passes distributed and we were on our way in 15 minutes. It was a time when I certainly was reminded about our wonderful club members and how much they were appreciated!

Now we are in our 50^th Anniversary of the Las Vegas Region PCA. Let’s party! Our Winter Gala will take place in a few weeks and will serve as our kick-off evening. This annual celebration has earned a reputation as being over the top, and this year will not disappoint! We sold out a month before the event and I can’t wait for that evening.

Also, AZPCA has invited us to an Extravaganza in Phoenix next weekend. We will have 15 cars attending the three-day tour, which will include a Sonoran drive and a visit to a private car collection. 

Mark your calendars for the 50^th Anniversary Celebration, April 20^th, at Gaudin Porsche. We are planning to pull out all the stops at this daytime event. More details to come!
