What an interesting morning we had at Atomic Motors in Henderson, April 20th. We got there early and watched all of the Porsches roll in. 49 LVR members had signed up for the event and were not disappointed. Also, one of our members is president of an exotic car club in town and displayed about 20 of their incredible cars including Lambo’s, McLarens and of course, Porsches. Atomic Motors is an expansive operation with 5 separate buildings housing all sorts of services. Display rooms with cars for sale, a machine shop that can perform just about anything, detail, high end paint shop, body shop, upholstery, and much more! A shout out to Jack, Bill, Kat and Lance of Atomic Motors for making such wonderful memories for us!

Luftgekühlt 9, the annual celebration of air-cooled Porsche vehicles, took place this year on the historic Mare Island in the San Francisco Bay. Mare Island is a unique location for an event like this, as it is a 3.5-mile retired naval shipyard that has seen it all, from sailing ships to submarines, and now Porsche. The industrial backdrop of Mare Island provided an excellent setting for the event, with the rusted metal of the old shipyard buildings providing a striking contrast to the sleek lines of the Porsche vehicles on display.

Wow! What a Porsche day in Southern Utah!  We had a great showing for the Show and Shine and Porsche Car Show…so many attendees…several hundred if you count all the shoppers at the Tuacahn Market on Saturday, April 22nd. Such great exposure for PCA and Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas.

I can’t say enough about the whole Gaudin team that came to Tuacahn! Wow! so much fun, so hard working and so professional. They impressed everyone. They answered so many owner questions…and Steve has convinced me I NEED an air-cooled! Also, the prizes were so generous and so appreciated by all of our winners!

There were so many great stories today…but here is just one. A couple, Ken and Betty Hollman, moved to St. George from Reno where they had been active with the Sierra Nevada PCA region for years…both serving as President. They sold their Porsches prior to moving [...]

Our Las Vegas Region club members were out in force for the Porsche Sprint races that were held at Spring Mountain Motorsports Raceway on April 21-23rd. We had great weather as we cheered for Premier 1 Race Team with club member Michael Londo driving the #111 in the Porsche GT3 991 class. The team and driver were well prepared for this first outing as they continue to compete in the Yokohama Sprint Challenge USA West series this year. A big shout-out to Kent Moore, Sam Weber, Amy Roberts-Moore and the rest of the team for their hospitality during the event!

 IRPCA TOUR!

May 27-28, 2023

Our Porsche Club friends to the north have graciously invited Las Vegas Region to join in which should be a very memorable Memorial Day Weekend tour! Here is the invite that Craig Shanklin, IRPCA Southern Utah Representative:

On May 27, the Northern Utah PCA members are driving down to St. George and we will have a nice dinner social (all PCA members, especially Las Vegas, are welcome). The next morning, May 28, we will have a “tour” to Kanab with a nice lunch stop. All the details and registration

We would love to have Las Vegas members join the fun. They may not be familiar with scenic Kanab, Utah. We also have a discounted rate at a nice new local hotel in St. George.
