- Comments Off on A Night to Remember: Winter Gala & Silent Auction Success
The Porsche Club Winter Gala was an outstanding evening of camaraderie, generosity, and unforgettable moments—and thanks to our incredible members, local business partners, and supporters, it was a tremendous success on every level.
Guests enjoyed excellent cuisine from Red Rock Country Club, which set the tone for a warm and elegant evening. Adding to the ambiance were several stunning member-owned Porsches generously “loaned” for display, turning the venue into a gallery worthy of the marque we all love.
Our Silent Auction was made possible by the many club members and local businesses who donated thoughtful and unique items, as well as the enthusiastic bidders who helped drive the final totals. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who bid and won items—your generosity directly supports our charitable mission.
A special moment of the evening was the recognition of past president Reid Smith and his wife, Dana, whose dedication and leadership have helped shape our [...]

- Comments Off on PHOENIX FUN-RUN RECAP Part II
We had an incredible two-night, three-day FUN-RUN on January 16-18th. AZPCA and LVR have been reciprocating short tours for the last three years. In April we hosted 25 AZPCA cars for our Magical Mystery Drive to Mt. Charleston followed by the new Henderson Gaudin Porsche dealership tour and reception in the afternoon.
Craig Shanklin, our LVR Southern Utah Director, took fabulous pictures and is writing a recap Fridays activities and Saturday’s drive.
Part II is a recap of two highlights: Our WineDown, hosted by Sue Olds, an AZPCA member (also my sister) on Saturday afternoon and Sunday’s Cars & Coffee, held at Alpio’s event facility.
WineDown was suggested by Sue as an activity that would give LVR members a chance to visit and share some fine wines and charcuterie. It proved to be a wonderful afternoon lasting into the evening! Special thanks to Sue and her friend Kristen Miesel for planning the open house.

The **42nd Annual L.A. Lit & Toy Show** is gearing up to be a highlight for Porsche enthusiasts on **February 28, 2026**, at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport (5711 W. Century Blvd., right near LAX). This legendary swap meet draws thousands of shoppers, vendors, and collectors for over 300 tables packed with vintage Porsche (especially 356 and early 911) and VW literature, toys, models, memorabilia, tools, trim pieces, posters, brochures, and more—it’s the ultimate treasure hunt for rare automobilia.
The Las Vegas PCA has a strong tradition of making the short drive (or flight) to this SoCal staple. Past years have seen solid turnouts from our club, with members often carpooling, sharing hotel rooms at the LAX Hilton (where special rates are typically available), and turning the weekend into a mini-road-trip adventure. The show’s timing—right after our own busy January events like the Phoenix tour and Death Valley day drive—makes it a perfect “next big [...]

An Insider View
By Gary Lea
This weekend I took the plunge and did the HPDE event at Spring Mountain. I have been meaning to do it for five years, but work always seems to get in the way. This time I decided, now that I am retired, I would do it . I was the third person to sign up and most likely will be again in our next event.
When I was young, I would do anything I could to get the adrenaline rush. Skiing, cycling, kart racing, a weekend at Jim Russell School, and driving anywhere I could get away from traffic and police to go as fast as I could. I was lucky to grow up in Lake Tahoe and to have the Washoe Flat on [...]
